A repair bill can arrive when you least expect it. Onyx Motors Care helps cover the repair or replacement of specifically listed components following an eligible mechanical or electrical breakdown.
The component list includes selected parts within the engine, transmission, cooling, steering, braking and factory-fitted air conditioning systems, where applicable to your vehicle. You receive the exact scope of cover before you decide.
More extensive protection for ownership.
Onyx Motors Care Plus extends cover beyond a specified component list to internal mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies that are not excluded by the plan.
It offers a wider scope of protection when an unexpected fault requires a costly repair. Eligible parts and labour are covered within the agreed limits, with towing support for an immobilising covered breakdown.
Depending on the vehicle and selected plan, additional options may include hybrid powertrain components, infotainment and replacement-car rental during an approved repair. We confirm which options apply to your car and which carry an additional cost.
A car's value changes. Your plans do not have to.
After a theft or total loss, your main motor insurer may settle at the car's current market value. That can leave a shortfall against the amount you originally paid.
Onyx Motors Value Protection can help bridge this difference under the selected plan. The additional payment helps preserve your budget for a replacement vehicle and reduces the financial impact of depreciation at the point of loss.

We start with the car you are buying. We explain the available cover, what is included in your vehicle offer and what can be added separately. Your documents set out the covered components, start date, duration, excess and limits.
If a fault occurs, contact Onyx Motors before authorising repairs. We help you with the next steps in the assessment and approval process. Eligible repair costs are covered according to your plan.
Keep your car serviced in line with the manufacturer's requirements and retain the records. Routine servicing and normal wear and tear remain part of ownership.
Electric, hybrid and range-extender vehicles have different components and requirements. We confirm the programme available for your specific model, including any cover for its high-voltage battery, electric drive and charging components. These are covered only where expressly included in your selected plan. Normal battery capacity loss is not the same as a covered breakdown.
Onyx Motors Care, Care Plus and Value Protection are customer-facing names for insurance options arranged through specialist partners. Availability depends on your vehicle, location and eligibility. Cover is subject to acceptance and the applicable policy terms, including limits, excesses, exclusions and maintenance requirements. Optional extensions apply only when included in your documents. Value Protection is a separate product. The provider and full terms are identified in the documents supplied before purchase.
